Our story: built for Ontario, by Ontario
Discover the personal journey that led to CampLog, an app designed by an Ontario outdoors enthusiast for fellow adventurers. Learn how our commitment to authentic, practical solutions helps you remember every detail of your outdoor experiences.

The inspiration behind CampLog
I kept forgetting which campsite had the best privacy, where the trout were biting, and what the bugs were like in September. My friends were keeping paper notebooks, but I needed something more. So I built CampLog—not as a startup, but to solve a real problem I had as an Ontario camper. The app’s fields were developed from years of actual experience on the water and in the bush, ensuring it’s truly practical for real outdoor situations.

Designed for real outdoor life
CampLog was built by one person—an Ontario camper, angler, and outdoors enthusiast. There's no development team, no investors, and no corporate backing. Just someone who spends weekends at Algonquin, Killarney, Bon Echo, and crown land, and wanted a better way to remember what was found there. The app was designed from the ground up around real Ontario camping experiences, not market research, ensuring it meets the authentic needs of its users.

More than just tracking
Most outdoor apps tell you where to go. CampLog remembers what you found when you got there. It tracks site-level detail that no booking app captures—privacy ratings, bug conditions, fishing intelligence by lake, wildlife spotted, noise levels, water access, crown land road conditions, and gear checklists tailored to your style. It works for car campers, RV travellers, canoe trippers, hunters, and anglers. Your data stays on your device, offering complete privacy. It was built by an actual Ontario camper, for Ontario campers.
"CampLog is exactly what I needed. It’s like having a personal memory bank for all my fishing and camping trips in Ontario. Practical and truly useful!"
A happy CampLog user
